Family Research in Northern Ireland
Roots and Certificates - Services Offered
I offer a comprehensive service, covering the six counties of N Ireland, based on the records held at the General Register Office in Belfast i.e. Births, Deaths and Marriages from 1864 to the present day (Protestant Marriages from 1845) and can provide transcriptions and obtain actual copies of certificates of all of these events at competitive prices.
I can also locate and photograph buildings that are significant to your ancestors and, if you are planning a visit to N. Ireland, I can arrange for you to be escorted to your family locations.
So, whether you require historical information about your ancestors or wish to find living relatives, I can help.
Do you want to trace your family roots and find out where your family came from?
‘Thank you so much for all this information on my family – you’ve done a great job, and I certainly found it all easy to follow’ CAB. Queensland, Australia.
Are you planning a visit to N Ireland and want to meet up with long lost cousins or to visit original family locations?
‘Despite only having a few scant clues familyfindersNI managed to track down my grandmother’s grave before our visit to N Ireland and escorted us to the graveyard and the various locations that my family had come from. We even met the parish priest who was able to show us a document bearing my grandfather’s signature. This was a very special moment’. PJG. Baltimore, MD.

Have you lost contact with old friends or family and want to reconnect?
‘My heartfelt thanks to familyfindersNI who, with few facts and a common surname, were able to locate my mother and brother with whom I now have a wonderful relationship’. CS. Sydney, Australia.
‘About 10 years ago familyfindersNI traced my ancestors back to Maguiresbridge and found my cousin Desmond with whom I have developed a strong bond that continues to link me to my ancestors in County Fermanagh’. SR. Saskatchewan, Canada.
Have you done your DNA and are now inundated with matches to various ‘cousins’?
Let me help you interpret these results and explain how they are relevant to you.
Would you like to commission research as a gift for a family member or friend?
‘Thank you so much for taking on this research for my mother’s birthday. It has meant so much to her to find out about her family as her parents died when she was very young’. BT. Rostrevor. Co. Down.
Family research can be time-consuming so allow plenty of time before the event your family member or friend is celebrating.
